Located conveniently between Rome, Georgia and Gadsden, Alabama, the shop is at 2988 Gadsden Hwy 411, Centre, Alabama. The new facility has the open, spacious feel that treasure hunters and shoppers love. You never know what you will find and often find the unexpected. A large variety of unique items, beautifully displayed, includes antique furniture, collectibles, pottery, fine glassware , jewelry, tools, home decor and more. The owners, Sue and Marvin Maxwell stated that their number one goal is to provide a pleasant, comfortable atmosphere for their customers. The Maxwell's relocated from Rome, Ga. to a home on Lake Weiss at Cedar Bluff, Alabama, where they planned to retire and enjoy gardening and fishing. They were first introduced by a neighbor to the world of antiquing and collecting. For several years they have had booths in antique shops, but, only recently decided to open their own store. It was a good decision. Their shop is flourishing. Friends who have been in the antiques and collectables business for years have joined them with their own displays in Ol' Thyme Antiques.
